
During the end of April and early May, Ēriks will be in the US for a residency, workshops, and performances, including the premiere of his new work God, You Made All Things for Singing.
From 24–27 April, Ēriks will visit the University of Cincinnati for a residency with the College-Conservatory of Music, where he will lead a series of public seminars. The programme also includes three events that will feature performances of his works. On Saturday 26 April, the concert The Long Road: Music of Latvia, featuring the CCM Chamber Choir under Dr Joe Miller at Knox Presbyterian Church. On Sunday 27 April in the morning, a worship service at Knox Presbyterian Church with Knox Choir under Dr Earl Rivers, including the premiere of God, You Made All Things for Singing, and on Sunday evening, a choral evensong worship service at St Thomas Episcopal Church with the church choir under Carlton Monroe.
On 28–29 April, Ēriks will visit Miami University in Oxford, OH for workshops with choral and composition students under Dr Jeremy D. Jones. On 3–4 May, he will be in Portland, OR for Heaven Full of Stars: Music of Ēriks Ešenvalds at First United Methodist Church of Portland, with the Oregon Repertory Singers under Dr Ethan Sperry. The concert will feature Stars, In Paradisum, Seneca’s Zodiac, and the song cycle Naming the Rain based on texts by Paulann Petersen, Oregon’s poet laureate emerita.
