On Sunday 26 February, Christ Church Cathedral Choir and director Robert L. Simpson at Christ Church Cathedral in Houston, Texas will premiere Ēriks’ new work Mass of the Eternal Flame. Scored for choir, brass and organ, Mass of the Eternal Flame was written in honour of Simpson’s 25th anniversary as Canon for Music. Christ Church Cathedral Choir will be joined by Treble Choir of Houston and director Marianna Parnas-Simpson, Paragon Brass, and Cathedral Organist Daryl Robinson. Ēriks will be in attendance. In the days following the premiere, the work will be recorded for a CD.
